Böttingen-Buch wind farm

The E-175 turbines from the German manufacturer Enercon are expected to produce around 45.000 million kWh of clean electricity, which can supply around 25.700 people.

The wind turbine sites are located on agricultural fields and meadows. Wind measurements have already been successfully completed.

Adjacent to the project is a wind farm that was commissioned in 2000 and consists of three NEG-Micon NM48/750 wind turbines, each with a hub height of 70 m.
With our Böttingen-Buch project, we are creating another concentration zone for wind power, thereby contributing to achieving the area targets of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The distribution system operator Netze BW has allocated a grid connection point on the existing 110 kV overhead line Laichingen – Schmiechen, approximately 9 km as the crow flies northeast of the planned wind farm, where the electricity will be fed into the public distribution grid.

For this purpose, Schöller SI will build its own substation in the Sontheim district with a transformer size of 80/100 MVA, which is expected to be completed in April 2025 and will also serve as a grid connection point for the Magolsheim wind farm is used.

To leverage synergy effects, part of the external cable route of the Böttingen-Buch wind farm is already being laid with that of the Magolsheim wind farm. This has the advantage of ensuring optimal use of the available construction space, taking into account existing road and path infrastructure, third-party lines, and nature conservation concerns such as adjacent protected areas and existing vegetation.
