The Project

The Enercon E-175 EP5 E2 turbines are expected to produce around 27,2 million kWh of clean electricity, enough to supply approximately 15.500 people.

The wind turbine sites are located on agricultural land. Wind measurements were already carried out as part of the development of the neighboring area. Mains connection

The distribution network operator Netze BW has assigned a network connection point on the existing 110 kV overhead line Laichingen-Schmiechen at a distance of approximately 9 km northeast of the planned wind farm, where power is to be fed into the public distribution network.

At the network interconnection point, during the implementation of the Magolsheim wind farm A substation was built by Schöller SI Erneuerbare GmbH, which is also operated by them. The Böttingen-Hühnerbühl wind farm is connected to the public grid via this substation. Part of the cable route is already being laid as part of the installation work for the Böttingen-Buch wind farms laid concurrently. Existing Park Münsingen-Böttingen

New perspective for the project

The existing wind farm, built in 2000, has largely reached the end of its technical service life. It is scheduled to be decommissioned and completely dismantled in 2027.

Sustainable dismantling and sensible reuse

The dismantling not only creates space for the new Böttingen-Buch and Böttingen-Hühnerbühl wind farms, but also enables the sustainable reuse of existing resources. For example, recycled concrete from the existing foundations will be used as gravel for road construction in the new Böttingen-Hühnerbühl wind farm.

More distance to residential areas

While the nearest existing plant is only about 450 meters from residential areas, a minimum distance of 1.000 meters is planned for the new plants.

Wind farm Böttingen-Hühnerbühl planned: Two new turbines are to replace three existing turbines

Schöller SI Erneuerbare GmbH is planning the Böttingen-Hühnerbühl wind farm in the Böttingen district, consisting of two modern wind turbines. The plans call for two Enercon E-175 EP5 E2 turbines, each with a total height of approximately 250 meters and a combined output of 14 MW.

A key feature of the project is the planned minimum distance of 1.000 meters to residential areas. At the same time, the three existing wind turbines in Böttingen, which were commissioned in 2000, are scheduled to be decommissioned and subsequently dismantled in 2027.

The project aims to further develop and modernize the use of wind energy at the site.

The two planned wind turbines will increase electricity production tenfold compared to the three existing turbines. At the same time, we are significantly increasing the distance to residential areas.

The town of Münsingen, local mayor Ralf Hintz, and Schöller SI Erneuerbare GmbH see the project as an important contribution to the regional energy transition. At the same time, the development should be carried out carefully and with due consideration for the interests of the local community.

The new turbines will allow for similar investment opportunities for the people of Böttingen, as is the case in Magolsheim.  Ralf Hintz, the local mayor of Böttingen, says:

I welcome the foreseeable dismantling of the existing wind turbines, as the new turbines will allow for a greater distance from residential areas and generate more power than the existing ones. Especially considering the land use in agricultural areas, it is crucial to carefully consider where the turbines and the necessary infrastructure are located and how much space they occupy. Böttingen has a comparatively small agricultural area of ​​approximately 220 hectares – therefore, responsible and careful management is particularly important here.

MUNICIPAL PARTICIPATION

Municipal participation according to Section 6 EEG:

To allow towns and municipalities located near our wind farms to financially participate in our projects, we pay, among other things, a voluntary municipal levy in accordance with Section 6 of the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) from the commissioning of new construction projects. This amounts to 0,2 cents per kilowatt-hour of electricity fed into the grid.
