In the Münsingen district, east of Magolsheim, we are building a wind farm with six turbines and a total output of 36 MW.
The Project
The E-175 turbines from the German manufacturer Enercon are expected to produce around 80 million kWh of clean electricity, which can supply around 46.000 people.
The wind turbines are located on fields and meadows that are mainly used for agriculture.
The implementation of a wind measurement has already been successfully completed.
Adjacent to the project is a wind farm that has already been put into operation, consisting of five wind turbines of the NEG-Micon NM48/750 type, each with a hub height of 55 m. With this we create an additional one Concentration zone of wind power with what a Contribution to the achievement of the area objectives of the Federal Republic of Germany is provided.
“Wind energy has the greatest potential for expansion and has outstanding opportunities for reducing greenhouse gases. In order to be able to meet the goals of climate protection and the energy transition, the commitment of business and the citizenry is also required. At this point I would like to thank the company Schöller SI GmbH for their future-oriented commitment to the region.”
Mike Münzing, Mayor of the City of Münsingen
Dear Sir or Madam,
In order to achieve the climate protection goals of the federal government and the targets of the state government, the share of renewable energies in the power supply must continue to rise massively. The municipal council of the city of Münsingen also made the unanimous decision that the city of Münsingen wants to be climate-neutral by 2040 at the latest. Wind energy has the greatest potential for expansion and has outstanding opportunities for reducing greenhouse gases.
For these reasons, the city of Münsingen is positive about the promotion of renewable energies, especially wind energy, and has prompted us to look for additional areas and opportunities to have wind turbines built. With the designation of 346 hectares of special construction area for the purpose of wind energy (concentration zones with an exclusion effect), the agreed administrative community of Münsingen – Gomadingen – Mehrstetten, together with the existing 184 hectares, is making an essential contribution to wind energy.
In order to be able to meet the goals of climate protection and the energy transition, the commitment of business and the citizenry is also required.
At this point I would like to thank the company Schöller SI GmbH for their future-oriented commitment to the region.
In order for the work to succeed, it is important to us, the company Schöller SI GmbH and the municipal council of the city of Münsingen that public participation is also possible in the investments.
You are cordially invited to become part of the project in the spirit of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen's saying: "The village's money to the village!"
