We were delighted to celebrate the commissioning of the Magolsheim wind farm on Wednesday – together with the Environment Minister Thekla Walker, District President Klaus Tappeser, District Administrator Dr. Ulrich Fiedler, Mayor Mike Münzing, our project partners and many supporters.
Six wind turbines of the type ENERCON E-175 turbines now rotate over the Alb plateau and supply around 80.000 megawatt hours of electricity annually—enough to power approximately 46.000 people. This saves around 48.600 tons of CO₂ annually—an important step for climate protection in the region.
“With the commissioning of the Magolsheim wind farm, planning and construction will now provide reliable, clean energy for the people of the region.” – Mirjam Schöller, Managing Director of Schöller SI Renewable GmbH
What makes this project special: The local people are behind the wind farm. The city of Münsingen, numerous property owners, and committed citizens have together demonstrated how the energy transition can succeed – regionally, in partnership, and with the support of the community.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved who, with commitment, trust, and perseverance, helped turn an idea into a visible symbol of climate protection and solidarity.
