FOR A REGION THAT EVERYONE BENEFITS FROM

Schöller SI has been investing in the region for decades. With its wind farms, solar parks, and real estate projects, the Reutlingen-based company creates added value for the region, in which private individuals can also participate. Thus, value creation remains locally anchored and secures our prosperity. This is thanks to the philosophy of entrepreneurial great Willi Schöller – one of the driving forces of the region.

Participation could be so simple. Willi Schöller exemplifies how it's done – and involves the entire region in his company's value creation. With Schöller SI, he makes sustainable investments for the region. To make it flourish. To keep the investments in the region long-term. And to embark together on a sustainable future through renewable energies. What's special about it: Schöller SI also gives private investors market access to professional investments in real estate and renewable energies. With over 45 years of experience and over €870 million in realized volume in wind farms, urban districts, and solar parks, Schöller SI works with its investors to further develop the region – and improve the lives of the people who live there.

The legitimate question, of course, is: Why does he actually do all this? To answer that, we need to take a journey back to Willi Schöller's entrepreneurial beginnings. "To finance my studies, I worked part-time as a capital and asset investment consultant," he reveals. "I also advised real estate companies." What he didn't like: everything was geared toward short-term profits and high commissions, which always only line the same people's pockets. "I missed the long-term quality I was striving for. So I told myself there had to be a better way." No sooner said than done: In 1980, he founded Schöller SI – with the noble goal of promoting well-thought-out, long-term, integrated concepts with sustainable and solid income that create added value for everyone from investors to users to local people.

This is a particularly fortunate opportunity for private investors. Schöller SI enables them to invest in asset classes that are otherwise very difficult for private individuals to access – and if they do, they are usually the well-known large-volume asset funds that are not really accessible to private investors. At Schöller SI, these are visible, transparent, and regional tangible assets. The city has long since discovered this for itself: The municipal utilities have long been investing in a Schöller SI wind farm, which has been in operation in Rhineland-Palatinate since 2017 and generates electricity for 15.000 people annually. Investing together is "entirely in keeping with the company philosophy" – "because we are convinced that sustainability proves itself in the region."

Today, around 40 dedicated team players at Schöller SI are working on the region's future prospects – driven by Willi Schöller's values as an entrepreneur, human being, and regional homegrown talent.

By 2027, Schöller SI aims to supply 560.000 people with clean electricity – that is, the entire districts of Tübingen and Reutlingen.

"Our clients and we have recognized that the energy transition is not only of fundamental social importance, but also aligns with our vision. Our decades of experience in real estate development provided the ideal basis for expanding our business over 17 years ago. This allows us to offer our stakeholders a comprehensive package today – from investments in real estate and renewable energies to the long-term management of assets through our own management company."

Lighthouse projects such as Reutlingen's first high-rise, Stuttgarter Tor, or the flagship Obere Wässere district resonate far beyond the region and underpin the visionary CEO's legacy. But even if Willi Schöller is gradually considering stepping back after 45 years at the helm, nothing will change in the values and direction of Schöller SI. The company has long since set the course for succession, and Willi Schöller has appointed experienced and forward-thinking managing directors for the various divisions, some of whom have been with Schöller SI for decades and share his philosophy.

With over 45 years of experience and over 870 million euros in realized volume in wind farms, urban districts and solar parks, Schöller SI is developing the region further.

The three departments of Real Estate, Administration, and Renewables will continue to work closely together in the future. With ambitious goals: By 2027, Schöller SI aims to supply 560.000 people with clean electricity – that is, the entire districts of Tübingen and Reutlingen. At the same time, 693.000 tons of CO₂ will be saved annually, which corresponds to 3,6 billion car kilometers. These are impressive figures, but no one is resting on their laurels: "In both strategic business areas, we already have a considerable project pipeline for the coming years, which would not be possible without the structure built by Willi Schöller," says Dominguez.

By 2030, the company, along with its partners and investors from the region, will have invested €1,6 billion in the region, its residents, and their sustainable future. And they will strengthen, advance, and unite the region for many years to come. This can only be achieved through collaboration. Willi Schöller recognized this many years ago.
