Since 1990, Schöller SI has been planning, developing, and realizing the Obere Wässere urban quarter in Reutlingen. On the site of a former industrial brownfield, new buildings have been erected in eleven construction phases, and existing buildings have been completely renovated. To date, this has created approximately 22.000 m² of space for service companies and medical practices, as well as nearly 5.500 m² of retail and restaurant space. The final construction phase of the urban quarter is scheduled for completion in the coming years. The interplay between old and new buildings, along with the integration of a small water-powered millrace and various water features within the quarter, creates a unique atmosphere for Reutlingen. Architecture that unites form and function, prioritizing people and their quality of life in all considerations, ensures lasting user satisfaction and fosters a strong sense of belonging to the spaces in the Obere Wässere urban quarter. The quarter is characterized by its diverse mix of users. Medium-sized retailers, numerous law and tax consultancies, media agencies, and other service providers are located on-site. Three medical centers and additional medical spaces totaling approximately 7.000 m² are used by over 50 doctors, as well as many therapists, healthcare professionals, and other healthcare providers. Several popular restaurants offering international cuisine complete the diverse mix of businesses in the urban quarter.
