Real estate project "Stuttgarter Tor" Reutlingen

After a nearly four-hour meeting, the winner for the building at the train station right next to the multi-storey car park was decided. The jury, consisting of the mayoress Mrs. Barbara Bosch, the first mayoress Mrs. Ulrike Hotz, the jury chairman Prof. Dr. Franz Pesch, representatives of all municipal council fractions, external consultants and Schöller & Partner GmbH decided in favor of the draft model of the planning community Seidenspinner/Daller.

In the first phase, in 2010, the city of Reutlingen announced an open ideas competition for urban planning for the City North area. The task was to give the area a new look and make it more attractive for living and working. With the inclusion of citizen participation processes, the concept of the Hähnig/Gemmeke office as a whole was convincing in the second phase within the framework of a workshop of the four works placed. On this basis, an architectural competition was announced in the third phase for the concrete development plan procedure "Stuttgarter Tor". The target was a construction project that offers an exemplary structural, functional and design solution and serves as an initial spark for subsequent construction measures in the City North area.

The building now being planned will have a total height of around 16 m with a total of 55 floors. On a total area of approx. 7.000 m2 Residential units as well as office and practice rooms and catering areas are to be built with a view over Reutlingen towards Stuttgart and Albtrauf.

The name "Stuttgarter Tor" is no coincidence either. In addition to the Tübinger Tor, the Garten Tor and the Alb Tor, the fourth Reutlingen old town gate with a connection to the L378 and thus in the direction of Stuttgart will be brought back to life.

In cooperation with the city and the planning community Seidenspinner/Daller, the revision and optimization of the model design begins in the further process. On the basis of these plans, the further processing of the development plan takes place in the next phase.
