Further developing wind energy, making sensible use of existing resources and keeping the region in mind: For the Böttingen-Hühnerbühl site, we are planning two modern wind turbines of the type ENERCON E-175 EP5 E2 with a total power output of 14 MW.
What makes this project special is that the two new plants will replace three existing plants that have been in operation since 2000 and are scheduled for decommissioning in 2027. This repowering will increase electricity production at the site tenfold.
At the same time, the distance to residential areas will be significantly increased: While the nearest existing facility is currently around 450 meters away, the new facilities are planned to be at least 1.000 meters away.
We are also committed to responsible resource management during the dismantling process. For example, recycled concrete from the existing foundations will be reused as gravel for road construction in the new wind farm.
Together with the town of Münsingen and the district of Böttingen, we want to shape the energy transition sustainably on-site and strengthen regional value creation. Because our goal remains the same: to invest sustainably in the region.
