GERMAN VICE CHAMPION IN DOG SPORTS

We congratulate our trainee Ann-Kathrin, who was recently named German runner-up in dog sport agility!

The championship took place on September 9, 2023 in Nidderau-Erbstadt. Ann-Kathrin and her loyal companion Carra, a six-year-old black Labrador Retriever (working line), performed excellently in two runs:
🥈 A-run: 2nd place
🥈 Jumping: 2nd place
🏆 Overall ranking: 2nd place
➡️ German youth runner-up

The path to this impressive achievement required hard work and dedication. In order to be able to take part in the German Championships, certain qualification results had to be achieved, which could be achieved at agility tournaments.
A total of 200 participants took part in this competition, divided into different size classes (small, medium, intermediate and large). Ann-Kathrin and Carra started in the “Large” class, the premier class in which most participants competed.
Agility is a fascinating dog sport in which dogs have to overcome a course with various obstacles. The obstacles must be overcome in a specific order and within a given time. The highlight is that neither the dog nor the handler knows the course in advance. The dog handler only has a maximum of 10 minutes to look at the course and memorize the route. However, the dog only sees the course at the start and has to trust the instructions of its handler.

We are incredibly proud of Ann-Kathrin and Carra for this outstanding achievement!
Congratulations on this well-deserved success!
